Market Time!
It is time for market. And, time for new arrivals! The store will be receiving a face lift in the coming weeks in addition to new lighting, lamps, furniture, and accessories. We all have our separate shopping lists and are looking forward to showing you our finds.
Chandelier Chic
A chandelier in the kitchen? Why not? The kitchen is often command central, the hub of the home—where the family’s most important activities take place. But just because it’s a room dedicated to functionality doesn’t mean it can’t have its fair share of beauty. A chandelier suspended over a kitchen island can serve as an eye-catching focal point. Put it on a dimmer and you have the capability to create mood lighting, too. First Impressions
As the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a good first impression. When it comes to your home, that starts with the right lighting. A stunning overhead fixture, or several clustered together, can beautifully illuminate your front door. And beyond, path and step lights will allow you and your guests to move about safely and with ease. Accent Your Entryway
Posted on September 1, 2010 · Leave a CommentWhen someone enters your home their first impression will come from your entryway. Usually a hanging pendant lamp or chandelier is the main focus, with everything revolving around it. If you would like to make a lasting impression without hanging light you can. Use these 9 tips to accent your entryway without hanging light:
- Use a portable lamp on a table.
- Place a floor spotlight upward and illuminating a plant.
- Draw eyes to crown molding or a ceiling cove with LED rope lighting.
- Highlight a photograph or piece of artwork with a downlight.
- Accent your guests with a single light placed by the front door.
- Use a floorlight to brighten your favorite floor vase.
- Use an uplight to highlight your favorite floor vase.
- Balance out a mirror with sconces on each side.
- Point out the intricate architectural details with track lighting.
